Wald’s WatchLab Privacy Policy

Effective October 6, 2026

Short version: Wald’s WatchLab (“WatchLab”) does not collect, store, or share any of your data. It has no accounts, no servers of its own, no analytics, and no advertising.

What the app does

WatchLab is a client for services you run yourself, such as media managers, download clients, media servers, and monitoring tools. It connects directly from your device to the server addresses you enter, and to nothing else.

Information stored on your device

None of this is transmitted to the developer or to any third party. Deleting a service, using “Reset App Data”, or deleting the app removes it.

Data collection

The developer collects no data. WatchLab contains no analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, or tracking code, and does not use any third-party SDKs.

Notifications and background activity

If you turn on alerts, WatchLab periodically checks your own servers in the background and shows notifications generated on your device. No push-notification service is involved.

Face ID

If you turn on App Lock, iOS verifies your identity with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode. WatchLab only receives a yes/no result; it never has access to biometric data.

Network connections

WatchLab connects only to the server addresses you configure. Some self-hosted services use plain HTTP on private networks. When a server supports HTTPS, use an https:// address so the connection is encrypted.

Children

WatchLab is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
